This project began in the way so many things connected with Ishwar Puri began: with love and devotion.

The Master often reminded us that we do not create anything entirely on our own. The gifts we receive, the opportunities that come to us, the people we meet, and even the inspirations that move us are all part of a greater unfolding. We may offer our effort, but we are instruments in the hands of the Master.

Indeed, it was Ishwar Ji’s own desire that this book of photographs be published. He taught us that everything happens at the right time, and it is with great joy that we now see this offering come to life.

His words to a friend, encouraging him to complete this seva “slowly but surely,” have now blossomed into the form of this book.

The photographs in this collection have come from seekers around the world, each one carrying a memory, a moment, or a blessing shared. Photographs can serve as reminders of moments lived, moments cherished, and even moments wished for. In this way, they help us remember the Master. And sometimes, photographs of Great Beings can stir in us a deeper seeking within.

This collection of photographs, memories, and reflections is a labour of love and affection, created in gratitude for a friend whose presence transformed our lives.

For many, Ishwar Puri was a teacher, speaker, philosopher, and spiritual guide. Yet those who knew him best remember something simpler and more profound: his friendship. He had an extraordinary ability to make each person feel seen, heard, and loved.

These pages offer glimpses of the man who gave us teachings: moments of joy, friendship, humour, and love that reveal something of the Great soul who touched so many hearts.

If this book succeeds in any way, it is because it reflects something of the love that inspired it. The rest belongs to the Master.
